Summer at the Pond

Making Dreams Happen, One Painting at a Time

“All That is Beautiful” - Painted at the Pond

Oil on linen, 11x14

The pond. The place where I found nature and nature found me.

This pond has been a great source of inspiration for me. It is on my family’s land, my childhood stompin’ grounds. It’s the place where I became deeply connected to and developed the understanding that we are part of nature, not separate. The place where I feel small yet expansive. The place that brings me back to me, each and every time. Where I never regret showing up. Where I seek for and continue to find my truth.

Each summer comes and goes all too quickly. Each winter, I long for summers at the pond. And after each summer, life continues to happen and I let it slip away, only wishing I would have spent more time there.

I have set a goal this summer to show up at this spot at least once per week and paint and be curious. I’m curious, is there something you might wish you would have done once summer has come and gone? Maybe this is the summer to make that happen!

Again, thank you dearly for following along on this painting journey with me. Sharing, expressing with you, is part of my Art.

Warmly, Kami
